Code Ninjas® ATL offers a unique educational program, geared toward teaching children computer programming through its engaging, game-based curriculum to ensure they meet and/or exceed challenging state academic standards in STEM. We introduce children ages four to fourteen to complex concepts through hands-on learning. Students are introduced to programming basics, robotics, app creation, game development, and more as they follow Code Ninjas’ systematic curriculum, designed by coding professionals. We hope to encourage more careers in STEM.
The Code Ninjas instructors act as guides, introducing concepts and answering questions by allowing students time to work through problems independently and tap into their creativity. The demand for computer programmers will only grow as computer technology develops and expands. For this reason, coding is widely seen as the “new literacy” – just as essential to education as reading and writing. They are not just passively playing games – they are building games while learning the fundamentals of coding, and having a great time doing it!
In Code Ninjas CREATE, the curriculum is divided into 9 levels, from White to Black belt, that students (Ninjas) advance through as they build their coding skills.
On-Site Coding Sessions
Code Ninjas will provide options for coding sessions on-site during the school day or after school. These sessions will be held on the days and times agreed upon later. Ninjas will need a laptop or tablet, internet access, and a browser such as Google Chrome, Edge, or Firefox.
Ninjas will be classified as Juniors if they are ages 5-7, and Create if they are ages 7-14. We also offer a High School Sensei Bootcamp for ages 14-17.
